Joanne Murray established MOKIMOE in 2007. She was born in the seaside town of Shoreham-by-sea on the Sussex coast, where she spent an idyllic childhood before moving to London. There she gained a design degree and began a successful career as a fashion designer, before moving into home furnishings and print.

“It is from my childhood that I find a lot of my inspiration, my family, balmy summer days, strawberry picking, camping, picnics in bluebell wood”.

MOKIMOE’s ethos is to create an individual aesthetic whilst maintaining environmental awareness and so to establish the brand’s progressive credentials. Only the highest quality materials are used and items meet strict organic criteria. MOKIMOE is 100% designed and made in the UK, producing unique items full of joie de vivre, which will become cherished belongings.

The first design “Mirra”, playfully mixes eye-catching, eco-friendly print with luxury, natural organic fabric, creating a modern and ethical highlight to a home. Currently available are, cushions, tea towels and lavender scented drawer cushions.
